The article describes the experiences of foster parents related to feelings of excessive control and criticism and prejudice in connection with their function. The article is based on research for the author’s bachelor’s thesis from statements obtained from interviews. The purpose of the article is to point out the existence of negative attitudes toward foster families in the opinion of the people surveyed and to show what foster parents may be struggling with.
